Herzog Contracting Corp.

Mid Jordan-Draper Design-Build

Herzog was an equity member of the joint venture that acted as the prime contractor working closely with the engineering firm to complete the Mid-Jordan/Draper design-build project. The Mid Jordan-Draper light rail line was 14.1 miles of double-track concrete tie and ballast construction. Eight miles of track were in an existing corridor owned by UTA, on which temporarily-separated freight traffic was maintained. This project included 39 grade crossings, overhead catenary, 13 stations, five bridges, three box culverts, a portal underneath the Union Pacific mainlines, and eight retaining walls. The Utah Safety Council recognized our project for 24 consecutive months without incurring an OSHA recordable injury, illness, days away from work, or death.
